Anyone who reads popular media interpretations of nutrition research knows it is most often riddled with misinterpretations and offers limited perspectives on subject topics. Generally, supportive dogma is emphasized while more obscure but important research falls to the wayside. How can people find better critiques?
ResearchBlogging.org is one good resource to check out for more critical analyses of research. Blogs must be accepted before posts appear in the database, and all the blogger must do is generate a citation and place it in the post, and the site will detect it and add it to the relevant tag lists.
There are some quality nutrition bloggers who use it: http://researchblogging.org/post-search/list?tags=Nutrition (No individual Nutrition RSS feed; for all posts under the “Health” topic subscribe to this: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ResearchBloggingHealthEnglish)
If you know someone who blogs about research, suggest they try it for a wider audience reach.
